Character Information
Character Name: Huthro Thistlebred (Aliases: Ticor Harfoot, The Raven)
Character Age: 47
Character Gender: Male
Character Birthplace: Bywatter
Character Personality: Deceptive, an aloof attitude to disguise an analytical mind.
Character Profession: Pickpocket, traveling minstrel.
Character Appearance: A touch shorter and stouter than most other Hobbits, but only in margins noticeable to others of his kind. Huthro sports a rather straight bit of ash-blonde hair and a distinctive scar on his freckled forehead.
Would your character have any problems with a different array of crimes. (Ie. Murder of innocents, stealing, etc.) If so, what?
No, Huthro was outspokenly against the heavy restrictions of his last criminal organization, and was in fact threatened with banishment for his statement "Sometimes the only way to get the message across is a good knife to the throat."
Character Biography:
The son of a farmer's son, Huthro certainly has a happy family living somewhere in the shire. Unfortunately for them, their repetitive, simple, and complacent life was nothing but a source of boredom to their uncharacteristically ambitious son. When he was young, Huthro had a knack for swiping the neighboring children's trinkets and disappearing with them for days at a time, despite frequent attempts and canings to try and get him to cease such behavior. The habit grew into a full-fledged career of thievery when a traveling band of human troubadours' true colors were revealed during their visit to Bywater, revealing to Huthro for the first time that one could make a living from under-handed talents such as his own.
That was all the inspiration the young man needed to abandon the gentle hills and endless expanse of the Shire for the lands of Men, taking up residence near the bustling town of Bree. For a year and a half he worked independently their, plucking pockets, posing as a traveling minstrel, lying, cheating, and stealing more meals than he'd ever bought with honest coin. Around this time he fell in with a group known simply as "The Thieves Guild," and through steady work, innovative ideas, and unbridled opinions, found himself raising through their ranks. Just before the time of their collapse (which one former member has in fact blamed upon Huthro's absence, he'd stopped a decent bit of infighting before) he was promoted as the sole member of the organization to stand as a mediator between the leaders and common members.
Since the group's collapse Huthro has taken to wandering, but seeks to re-establish his roots in Bree with a new organization of alley-skulkers.
