Darrla stumbles into the tavern. "Hit me again!" : she laughs aloud as she takes two more drinks, barely making it to the table while sloshing her drinks about. It was obvious she was drunk.
Viri steps over and sets a hand on Darrla's shoulders. "How are you Darrla?"
Darrla jumps as she sees Viri. "Viri..." : She was too drunk to feel as bas as she should, but her eyes showed a lot of remourse.: "Sit down, we have to talk about some things."
Viri nods her head as she sits down. "I know, I don't want you to leave."
Darrla shakes her head. "It's not for you to decide....I've done bad things....I can't be around you anymore, it wouldn't be safe." : She frowns but quicky hides it with drinking:
Viri looks down at her hands. "Your my only friend I have left Darrla, you need not worry about me."
Darrla finishes drinking her drink and grabs the next. She wasn't seeing straight at the time. "Listen to me, I'm not a friend, just look at what I did to you!" : She said indicating the wound:
Viri shakes her head. "I got injured I wasn't good enough to be able to hold control and direct the blow elsewhere. I won't make the same mistake a second time."
Darrla sighs. "Because there won't be a second time..." : She drinks more of her drink: "My brother and I have a plan, we are going to go very far away where we can't hurt anyone."
Viri Sighs, "You need not leave, why do you think you have to leave. I would rather you stay."
Darrla nods her head. "I know you would. But you'll see, things will be much better without me. You can't see it, but I have seen it over and over again. How much better off people will be without me."
Viri sighs and looks to the floor. "You may think that Darrla but for some people its just not the case."
Darrla frowns as she takes a few more swallows of her drink. "I see things Viri....and I know when things are for the best. You are going to meet someone and be happy. It's going to happen when I leave, you are going to be happy!" : She smiles as she takes another swig.:
Viri shakes her head and sighs. "Do you really believe that Darrla? Because I don't. First Gwyny abandoned me, then Malfirth abandoned both of us. Well now you are abandoning me too."
Darrla heaves in a heavy sigh as she drowns it away by finishing her drink. "I wish you could see it...I know it hurts now....but it will only get better." : She stumbles upwards to walk back to the tender:
Viri tries to grab Darrla's arm. "Darrla please don't leave."
Darrla places her hand on Barliman's shoulder. "Another!" :Barliman wafts his hand infront of her and speaks.: "I think you have had too many, Miss..." : Darrla growls: "Is my money no good here anymore?!" :Barliman tosses her gold back to her: "No!" :He says:
Darrla takes her gold coins and looks to Viri. "He won't serve me anymore...come...let us go where we can drink more!"
Darrla tries to open the door, but is deffinatley not in the right spot to do that.
Viri follows behind Darrla.
Darrla finally finds the handle and pulls.
Darrla stumbles out of the Pony trying to balance herself down the stairs, practically falling over and down the steps.
Raigar smirks, watching the two ladies.
Darrla stumbles this way and that. "We need to find somewhere to get more ale!"
Viri says, 'Darrla are you sure you need to keep drinking?'
Darrla swats the woman away. "You sound like that fella Barliman!"
Viri says, 'Fine lets go get a drink somewhere else then'
Darrla nods her head, but as she steps she practically falls on her face. She manages to get steady and walk in a sideways line. "Point me in the direction woman!"
Viri shrugs, "If you can't direct yourself to another pub you shouldn't drink anymore."
Darrla growls as she turns herself and looks around, practically seeing two of everything. "Then I will find it on my own!"
Raigar tilts his head, listening idly.
Viri shakes her head, "Oh no your not, I am going along with you just to make sure you don't hurt yourself."
Darrla growls again as she turns herself placing her hands on Viri's shoulders. "Listen, I can't go back there like this....I need as much as I can drink....I'm going back whether you like it or not."
Viri says, 'Fine the direction I am facing, I will be right behind you.'
Darrla goes to place her finger on Viri's nose but hits her forehead. She does an awkward spin to face the direction Viri was facing. Then she moves herself in that direction.
Darrla heaves in a heavy breath. "Too far....we must move back the other way we came!"
Darrla sighs as she realizes there are stairs. "When did these get here?!"
Viri sighs "They have been there for some time, and you just got kicked out of here for drinking too much."
Darrla shakes her head. "I didn't get kicked out! He said my money was no longer good there! He doesn't want to serve me anymore...." : she heaved in a heavy sigh as she fell atop the stairs resting her butt in a very uncomfortable position.:
Viri nods her head, "Well you can't drink here and you don't want to go to another tavern, what do you want to do."
Darrla looks up at Viri, or rather the direction she thought Viri was in since she saw three of her. "Who says I can't drink out here?!"
Viri says, 'Well I got no coin, and I can't take your coin and buy it for you.'
Darrla thinks for a moment. "What do you mean you got no coin?! I gave you half of my inheritance!! You spend it all already?" : She sways her body back and forth, though...not on purpose:
Viri says, 'Haven't gone and gotten it. I was hoping I could leave it safe till I had found you and convinced you not to leave.'
Darrla flails her hands in the air. "Not to leave?! Why, I've given my house away...all my money...I'm leaving!" : She tries to get up, stammering a bit this way and that, but still manages to do so:
Viri glares at Darrla. "All because you don't want to hurt your friends. Well I know I don't want you to leave and I doubt any of your other friends want that as well."
Darrla growls as she points a finger at Viri, though it is about a foot to the right. "Friends?! What other friends? Everyone has left me behind, just as you've said!" : She pivots around, quite gracefully this time yet lands atop the mail box: "Ah, there is my steed!"
Viri shakes her head, "Thats a mailbox not your horse. So if I am your only friend you just going to leave me behind as well?"
Darrla nods her head. "It's for the best!" : She looks around and chuckles: "Let us drink tonight, fore later this eve I will take my leave!" :She said this because she could not find her horse, and thought it better to wait until her horse got back. Even though he was a mere foot away.:
Viri shakes her head. "What sense is there in drinking myself stupid if I can't convince you to not go back to that death trap."
Darrla spins around and gives her a big grin. "Now there's the spirit! Let us drink ourselves stupid!"
Raigar whistles at Darrla.
Darrla hears a whistling and spins around once more to look at the mailbox, whom she assumed was a person. "You say something?"
Raigar smirks, eyes rolling.
Viri shakes her head, "You drink yourself stupid. I would rather go do something else. It was nice knowing you, if you choose to not go or to come back you will know how to find me."
Darrla frowns as she hears Viri and shakes her head. "No no....this is supposed to be a good departure...lots of happiness...laughing...getting drunk...come Viri, join me one last time."
Viri shakes her head, "There is no such thing as a happy departure."
Darrla watches Viri walk away and whispers. "See brother? I told you, it is better this way." : She lets out a growl: "NO! I said she cannot come with us!"
Darrla sighs as she tries to fumble up the stairs. "Don't just stand there, help me!"
Raigar glances down at Darrla. "I thought you weren't allowed in here."
Darrla has no idea where the voice is coming from, so she answers it without looking. "No no no! I'm not allowed to buy DRINKS anymore!" : She looked behind her: "Well?!"
Raigar lifts a brow. Fingers wave slightly, holding a [Frothy Pint of Ale]. "Tell me about this 'death-trap' you speak of and I'll give you mine," he replies, though he makes no movement to help her.
Darrla finally finds the voice to which was speaking and she lets out a flit of laughter. "I'm no drunk! Why should I give you info just because you have an ale?" : She shakes her head: "Maybe if you take me inside, we can sit and chat?"
Raigar shrugs idly, tipping the mug to his lips. "Maybe's not quite the certainy I was looking for.. If you'd rather attempt to climb up those steps all on your, then by all means..." As celtic-accented words drift off, he guestures to the challenge that lay before Darrla.
Darrla growls as she unsheaths her sword and uses it as a type of walking stick, though not very smart on her part, it was VERY sharp. She grumbles something about her brother not coming to her aide. But...eventually she makes it up the stairs unscathed.
Idarwen moves out of the way of the door as she watches the spectacle with an arched brow.
Raigar grins, lightly clapping a hand against his mug in applause. "Your loss.."
Darrla looks towards him, still swaying a bit as she laughs once more. "Doesn't seem like quite a loss to me..." :With that she stumbles towards the door:
Darrla sits down finally as she stumbles about almost tripping over the bench. She rests her head on the table and lets out a soft moan of aggitation.
Darrla growls to herself. "Some help you are, brother! Couldn't even help me when I needed you!"
Darrla sways back and forth as she looks to nothing in particular and points. "You should have just left me alone....why did you come after all this time to find me? Oh right right....for my penance."
Lainie looks over Butterbur's shoulder with a concerned look, knowing it would be best not to inquire, for peace of mind she chooses to anyhow. "Everythin' alright?"
Darrla has no idea she was being spoken to but answers anyways. "Yeah..just fine. Though Barliman over there seems to think I've had enough ta drink! Pfft..."
Lainie smirks, "Well judgin' by the fact ya just finished a conversation with yerself...I'd haveta cut ya off too."
Darrla looks to her left. "No no...my brother..." : She points to nothing: "Hmm...he must have gone..."
Lainie says, 'I been watchin' ya since ya came in, ain't been no one sittin' with ya. An' how many brothers ya got?'
Darrla thinks for a moment. "Just the one. Donovann...." : She looks at Kinsley and gives her a goofy grin and pulls her hand out trying to shove a gold coin her way: "See if he'll take yer money..."
Lainie shakes her head, "Keep ya money Darrla...'ave my other mead 'ere. I'm still workin' on me first one." She places a tankard onto the table and slides it towards her.
Darrla goes to grab the mead and it gets tipped over. She frowns. "I can't even drink right!" : She tries to hand her the gold again: "Here, for your troubles..."
Lainie says, 'Have ya eaten anythin' for breakfast or dinner? Bein' this drunk by noon doesn't seem straight.'
Darrla shakes her head. "Nae, I don't eat much....I think I ate two days ago..." : She really tries to think back but gets a little dizzy as her head sways:
Lainie frowns some, "That ain't right Darrla. Will ya let me get ya somethin' ta eat from Butterbur. Maybe it'll straighten ya out some."
Darrla shrugs. "Why not, where I'm going I probablly won't get fed anyways...well...not as much. Take the gold!" : She tosses it at her, or tries to anyways as she lets her head hit the table once more:
Lainie waves a hand and shakes her head as she turns to speak with Butterbur.
Lainie says, 'Here's some stew and cider. Should help some.'
Darrla takes the stew and cider and eats it almost as quick as it took Kinsley to go and get it. She whipes her mouth with her glove. "I do appreciate it...though I don't want to sober up any..."
Lainie looks to Darrla, "An' why's that?"
Darrla drinks the whole cider in a few sips and starts to feel a bit more intoxicated. "I just have somethin' I need ta do that takes a lot of mead." : She smiles to herself:
Lainie says, 'If that inclues bumping your head, tripping over things or maimin' yerself in any fashion...I think ya already there.'
Darrla shakes her head. "No...I just need to return to where I belong is all."
Lainie says, 'Belong? Do ya not live 'ere in Bree someplace?'
Darrla shakes her head no. "I gave all my homes away....and even when Malfrith did leave me, I stayed in the abandoned cottage in the Old Forest." : She leans in to whisper: "You know, that is where Malrex first took me when he rescued me..."
Lainie says, 'If it's a roof ova yer head and it's safe from where ya runnin' from, it's home.'
Darrla nods her head. "That is the truth. Malrex would hate me if he knew where I was going. But he is much happier this way...he's met a wonderful person without me being in the way. He used to take care of me all the time and worry so much about me..."
Darrla is now at her drunken babbling stage.
Lainie says, 'Truth be told, he still does.'
Darrla frowns. "Does he? Well now I will be out of his life forever, and he can worry about the important things."
Lainie frowns, "Surely ya don't mean it. I know he'd be quite upset with ya if ya just up an' left."
Darrla pulls the cider up to her lips before she realizes that she has already drunk all of it, she looks into the cup and frowns. "No no...he's fine.....he's got other things to worry about..." : She looks into her cup again: "He's moved on..."
Lainie shakes her head, "I think ya'd be wise ta have a talk with 'im first before ya decide ta leave. It's only right..."
Darrla nods her head. "Yes I suppose...though I can't tell him where I'm going..."
Lainie shrugs, "Leave that bit out then, but do tell him yer goin'."
Darrla waves her hand. "I will...on one condition..."
Lainie says, 'Hmmm?.'
Darrla leans in. "Get some more drinks!"
Lainie pauses a moment in contemplation. "Two more an' yer done."
Darrla turns her head and shakes her head with a frown. "NO! He cannot know either! I don't want him coming after me like last time...."
Darrla frowns. "NO! It is settled, I leave tonight....he musn't know where I'm going."
Darrla grins as she holds up the two pints. "Much obliged!"
Lainie says, 'Aye...well, I've some things to see to and gather before dusk falls. Please be safe and be sure ta speak with Rex before ya go...'
Darrla nods her head. "Why of course!"
Lainie nods, "Right. Well then...until we meet once more...."
Darrla nods her head. "Not unless you plan-" : She stops herself: "Yes, until we meet again."
Darrla says, 'WAIT!'
Darrla stumbles upwards to grab her arm.
Lainie says, 'What?'
Darrla looks her straight in the eye. "Take good care of him.....he is all I've got left. Treat him right...."
Lainie says, 'Aye... of course.'
Viri steps over and sets a hand on Darrla's shoulders. "How are you Darrla?"
