Scaggs smiles as he loweres his hood "You left fer me ta meet ya here. What's goin on?"
Darrla stares at the fire, never flinching a muscle as she hears him enter into her home or when he approaches. Instead of telling him outright, she sidetracks around the topic at hand. "My fiance gave me this house.....our wedding gift to me...he had a home before we met, so he wanted to give me one of my very own. He made me promise that I not tell anyone about this home, not even our own kinsmates."
Scaggs nods "I see. But then why tell me?"
Darrla she continued. "He feared for my safety....he thought that Isen would find out where we lived and destroy our home....but I really don't have any use for such, not where I'm going."
Scaggs nods again, not fully understanding what is going on "Ya goin somewhere?"
Darrla she turns to face him. "I don't really know you that well, but everyone deserves a home, somewhere to start fresh and live a good life. A home means that you always have somewhere to go at the end of the day." : She moves over to him taking his palm and placing the key in his hand.:
Scaggs blinks "You're giving me this house?"
Darrla nods her head. "As I said, everyone needs a home. And nobody knows about this place except for me and my fiance...who is probablly dead by now. So it's all yours."
Darrla takes a step back.
Scaggs looks to her with surprise "I don't understand. Was this not your home?"
Darrla nods her head. "Yes it was, but I won't need it where I'm going. So take it and do what you will with it. Call it your own home and enjoy it."
Scaggs nods, still unsure "Alright. but I will return it to you upon your return"
Darrla smiles. "I won't be returning. I am going to a far away place, the only place where I am needed."
Scaggs nods and sighs "as you wish then. And thank you"
Darrla smiles. "Now you have a home to call your own. Relax if you wish...I should get going." :she puts her hand out: "It was nice meeting you, Scaggs."
Scaggs bows deeply, as gallantly as he can "and you as well Darrla. Our paths will cross again"
Darrla smiles. "I wouldn't be so sure about that. Unless you have a hankering for making friends with the orcs!" : She laughs:
Scaggs grins and rubs his eyepatch "Yeah, I still owe them one"
Darrla pauses for a moment. "Oh yes, before I forget, can you give Isen something for me?"
Scaggs backs away a little, out of her reach and smiles "Of course, what is it?"
Darrla laughs as he backs up and reaches in her satchel. She steps towards him and hands him a small black pouch, if Scaggs looked inside there would be a small marble like green ball. "He'll know what it is."
Scaggs nods "consider it done"
Darrla smiles as she turns and waves her hand. "He may have some use for it quite soon. Goodbye Scaggs."
